There are so many websites that are beautifully created. My guess is that at least 70% have sacrificed effective internet marketing for cutting edge technology and image rich web design.
Don't get me wrong! I think having an aesthetically pleasing website is great! It's an important part of the development process. But if that's all there is the end result is that no one will find the site and very few, if any, leads or sales will come from the site.
Most of the time the site can be very pleasing to the eye, marketing oriented and feature cutting edge technology. The trick is to get a good balance between these elements.
