While we, as a company, become better acquainted with the new frontier of conversion results we are finding that businesses large and small are not in tuned with what a fully optimized and well written website can do for leads, sales, marketing, promotion, customer service - you name it.
Today I spoke with a customer and pointed out that by re-writing the text on the website to have a better call to action, usage instructions and a clear path to the "goal line" he could expect a minimum of 10 new (very large purchase) sales each month.
You would have thought that I hit him with a brick. He couldn't believe that I would actually know that for certain.
Well it's simple really: how many times do people search for those key terms that describe your business? Now take that number times 20% (if you are only local). That's the number of potential site visitors you could be getting - if your site was well optimized.
How much in sales? Well if you have a well optimized, positioned site take that number above and multiply by 1% (to be on the conservative side) Less if you want... the result is the number of new business you could be getting each month.
The national average is 2.4%. I'm sure that some larger purchase items are much less and some less expensive items are much more.
It's simple, basic math. The numbers are out there on the internet for anyone to see and use. It's not rocket science but if you need help, give us a call.
